Professor Fang got his PHD from School of Management, Zhejiang University. He was a visiting scholar to the University of Sydney in 2015. He is currently an Associate Professor of the School of Economics, Zhejiang Gongshang University, and he is a postgraduate tutor,  member of the Youth Working Committee of the Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the Agricultural and Industrial Democratic Party, and  member of the China Agricultural Socialization Service Research (Youth) Expert Committee. 

He has published nearly 20 academic papers in high-level journals, including Economic Research(经济研究), Management World(管理世界), and World Development. He chaired a number of high level research projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation, the National Social Science Foundation, the Young Talents Program of the Science and Technology Think Tank of the Chinese Association for Science and Technology, the Natural Science Foundation of Zhejiang Province, and the Philosophy and Social Science Foundation of Zhejiang Province. 

His is currently serving as the anonymous review of Economic Research(经济研究), Management World(管理世界),World Development and other journals, and the communication reviewer of the National Natural Science Foundation, the National Social Science Foundation and the Zhejiang Natural Science Foundation.
