Junqiang Jimmy Liu received the B.Sc. degree from Peking University in China, the D.Eng. degree from Zhejiang University in China, and the Ph.D. degree from Simon Fraser University in Canada. He is currently a professor at Zhejiang Gongshang University in China. 

His research interests include big data analytics, deep learning, data mining, and information security and privacy protection. He has published nearly 80 papers in prestigious journals and international conferences, including IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering, Information Sciences, Expert Systems with Applications, Knowledge and Information Systems, ACM SIGKDD, IEEE ICDE, and IEEE ICDM. 

He has taught many courses either in graduate level or in undergraduate level, including Network Security and Data Management (in English), Cloud Computing and Big Data (in English), Machine Learning (in English), Discrete Mathematics (in English), Algorithm Analysis and Design (in Chinese), Programming in Python (in Chinese)，and Programming for Engineers (in English). 

His research interests include big data analytics, deep learning, data mining, and information security and privacy protection.
