About

Li Xia, a native of Liaocheng, Shandong Province, graduated from the School of Information and Electronic Engineering of Zhejiang University in 2016 with a doctorate degree in electronic science and technology, and has been teaching at the School of Information and Electronic Engineering of Zhejiang Gongshang University since September. He taught undergraduate courses such as Fundamentals of Complex Functions, Experiments in Digital Electronic Technology, Fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence Mathematics and Data Mining, and undergraduate courses such as Digital Systems and Microprocessing Design of the School of Artificial Intelligence and postgraduate courses such as Stochastic Process and Queuing Theory. His research interests include optoelectronic devices, artificial intelligence and financial technology. As the project leader, presided over 1 project of the university's Qingrui Plan and 1 school-level quality course; Participated in 1 national 973 project, 1 National 863 project and 2 other National Natural Science Foundation projects; Participated in two provincial curriculum ideological and political construction projects, published more than 10 SCI and EI retrieval papers, and applied for 1 patent.


Research Direction

Silicon based photonic integrated circuits: optical filter, optical switch, isolator, hybrid silicon lasers etc. Combined with the principle of PN junction, PIN, MOSFET and FLASH in microelectronics. Design, manufacture and test devices for optical interconnection applications.

 Hybrid integrated tunable silicon light sources

Silicon on Insulator (SOI) has the high refractive index difference, and can be utilized to fabricate the compact photonic devices by CMOS-compatible process. And the thermo-optic (TO) effect and plasma dispersion effect of silicon can be used to control the SOI-based photonic devices such as the microring resonators.

Bandwidth tunable filter based on ring resonator

Taking the huge advantages of microring resonators such as compact structure, high Q-factor and compatible with mature silicon microelectronics, a bandwidth tunable filter was made on a silicon based planar optical waveguide platform compatible with CMOS process. Potential applications are integrated optical signal processing such as reconfigurable filtering and channel selecting in wavelength division multiplexer.

Artificial intelligence and financial technology

This is my new research direction and I will devote myself to it in the future.
