Zhuge Bin, male, born in 1976, holds a Ph.D. and is a professor. He began pursuing his doctoral degree in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in 1998, specializing in medical image processing. In 2003, he worked at the postdoctoral research station for Computer Science and Technology at USTC. Zhuge joined the School of Information and Electronic Engineering at Zhejiang Gongshang University in 2005 as a faculty member. In 2011, he served as a visiting scholar at the Scalable Software Systems Laboratory (S3Lab) within the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Florida, USA. From December 2013 to 2019, he held the position of Deputy Dean of the School of Information and Electronic Engineering and was recognized as a provincial leading talent.
He has led one National Natural Science Foundation project, one Zhejiang Provincial Natural Science Foundation project, and one key technological project of Zhejiang Province. Zhuge has applied for more than 30 Chinese invention patents, with 15 being granted. In 2012, as a core member, he successfully applied for the Key Innovation Team for New Open Architecture Network Technology (Grant No. 2011R50010) in Zhejiang Province. The following year, he successfully established the Provincial Key Laboratory of New Network Standards and Application Technologies.
He has directed two provincial-level top-quality courses, one provincial-level course integrating ideology and politics, one outstanding postgraduate course, two provincial-level teaching reform projects, and authored one new-form textbook in the province. Zhuge has received awards including the first prize for excellent cases of Internet+Teaching, third prize in both the Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University National University Teaching Innovation Competition and the Provincial Higher Education Teaching Innovation Competition. He has also been honored with the First Prize of Zhejiang Technological Invention Award and the Second Prize of Zhejiang Science and Technology Progress Award.
