主要研究为废水生物处理与资源化领域,特别在废水生物脱氮除硫工艺和微生物燃料电池技术方面形成特色。主持国家自然科学基金、浙江省国际科技合作项目和浙江省自然科学基金等省部级以上科研项目多项,在《中国科学》、《Bioresource Technology》、《Critical Reviews in Environmental Science and Technology》、《Journal of Power Sources》等国内外著名刊物上发表学术论文60余篇,授权专利10余项,研究成果获浙江省科学技术进步奖二等奖(4/9)。
