ZHAO Zhongwei, Professor, Born from Zhuji, Zhejiang Province, 1975,is an associate professor and master's thesis advisor. In 2002, he graduated from the Department of Information and Electrical Engineering at Zhejiang University, obtaining a Master's degree in Engineering. His primary research and development endeavors focus on projects in the domains of embedded systems, power Internet of Things (IoT), smart grids, and novel electric power systems.
Over the past five years, Zhao has secured project funding exceeding 10 million RMB from State Grid Corporation of China, Zhejiang Electric Power Company, and its affiliated enterprises. He has led two major horizontal projects with budgets surpassing 2 million RMB each, two significant horizontal topics valued at over 1 million RMB each, and four additional horizontal subjects with budgets exceeding 500,000 RMB. Additionally, he has chaired one provincial-level educational department project and participated in three National Natural Science Foundation projects, as well as five projects funded by the Zhejiang Provincial Natural Science Foundation.
With a publication record encompassing more than 20 academic papers in SCI-indexed journals, Zhao has filed over ten patent applications, of which eight have been granted. In recent three years, his efforts have been particularly dedicated to the promotion and commercialization of scientific achievements. Notably, the patented technology for orderly charging of electric vehicles under his supervision has generated societal benefits exceeding 50 million RMB.
His principal teaching responsibilities include courses such as Fundamentals of Circuit Analysis and Signals and Systems.
